I read ‘How to Become a Software Tester ‘ back in 2011 when I was fresh US immigrant looking for what to do in this land of the free and the home of the brave. Right after reading the book it became clear to me that it’s exactly what I was looking for. Written in really easy manner and full of practical knowledge book cover everything one need to know to become manual QA tester. It helped me to get my first 3 moth Internship with Bay Area company and even after internship, when I was preparing for my first job interview, I reread it to refresh my knowledge and kind of tune up my brain into proper mode. And it worked I got the job. Now I’m well versed manual QA tester with 5 years of experience with major US bank. Also, what is important, it’s a very affordable yet effective way to get true knowledge since book cost is a little fraction comparing to alternatives on the market. I will always be grateful to Roman for his work, it really helped me in life!

QAtutor is one of those “Happy User’s stories” for me. I am really happy to share it.

This course introduced me to all modern testing techniques and polished my existing skills. You do not have to know anything about QA. Just relax and enjoy. It’s an excellent start to change something in your life and begin your carrier as a QA person. It gets you to a different level, different surroundings.

Roman is an excellent mentor. During the course he was super-responsive and helpful. He patiently explained to me all my mistakes and made my resume catchy. No kidding. It wasn’t me who found a job. The Job found me. Someone from the company contacted me when they saw my resume online.

I’m 100% satisfied with the content of the course and highly recommend it to everyone who wants to start carrier in IT.

Dear Roman, your course gave my confidence that everything will be OK. I’ve used your tactics of passive and active job search and went to all interviews. That’s how I got interview experience! Your advice about sending resume to the software companies that don’t publish vacancies gave me my golden chance. I was invited for interview, I’ve passed it and got a job.

Just want to thank you. Your material is so well delivered, so well organized, so cleverly put together that had I not had already this passion for testing in me I would have gotten passionate about QA just from reading your course.

This is an excellent overview of how to do professional software Quality Assurance. The text is very detailed with many examples and exercises covering both the philosophy and specific tactics of testing. There’s even a section on how to find a job in the industry that’s, despite my general distaste for most how to land a job advice, is actually quite charming and effective. I’ve hired many QA engineers, and can vouch for the effectiveness of much of the material here…If you’re serious about becoming a software tester, I can’t think of a better way to start.
